Barkot Tourism
Barkot is located on the banks of the Yamuna River in the Uttarkashi District in the Indian state of Uttarakhand. The trip to Barkot is one of the best places in Uttarakhand and its height is 1220 meters above sea level. Barkot is known as an important stop for tourists visiting Yamunotri and Gangotri Dham, the main pilgrimage centers of Hinduism.
The view of the Bandar Poonch summit with a view of the Himalayan peak fascinates the tourists. Apart from that, the tourist town of Barkot attracts adventurers like trekking, paragliding, excursions and wild birds.
Saptrishi Kund

14 km ahead of Yamunotri Dham, Saptrishi Kund is located at an altitude of about 16 thousand feet. Where austerity was done to liberate the Ganges from the serpents under the guidance of the Malinga Rishi. It is from here that the holy river Yamuna originates.
Shani Temple

In Kharsali village, there is a temple of Lord Shani of Yamuna. The village is also a winter migration of the Yamuna. Yamuna ji is pleased by offering prayers in Shani temple and her brother Shani by bathing in Yamuna.
This is the only temple left of a cluster of 240 temples on Kalp Kedar-Gangotri highway, 75 km from Uttarkashi. In Samvat 1700, a 14 km lake was built on Bhagirathi due to the breaking of the mountain of Mala Awana near Sukki, in which all the temples were contained. A few years ago, this temple was found safe in excavation on the coast of Bhagirathi. The remains of other temples also continue to emerge.
Dayara Bugyal

8 km from Rithal and Barsu village of Bhatwadi block, at an altitude of 10 to 11 thousand feet, Velvet meadow Dayara Bugyal is located in about 28 sq km. In summer, colorful flowers and herbs are spread here, so in the winter these 4 to 5 feet of snow covered natural slopes are ideal for skiing. The master plan to develop this ski resort has not yet landed on the ground.
Parshuram Temple

Located at the district headquarters of Uttarkashi, is the only ancient temple of Parashurama, an incarnation of Lord Vishnu. According to the Puranas, Lord Parashuram had done penance here. Recently, this temple was renovated.
Kashi Vishwanath Temple

There is a big Shivling of Kashi Vishwanath at Uttarkashi district headquarters. Because of this temple, this place is named Uttarkashi. During the travel season, a large number of pilgrims arrive here for darshan and worship.
Dodital

Dodital, the origin of Asi Ganga, is considered to be the birthplace of Lord Ganesha. Situated at a distance of 21 km and an altitude of 3045 meters, the scenic beauty of this lake is worth seeing. Every year a large number of domestic and foreign tourists arrive here.
Gangnani- The hot water tank Gangnani is located on the Gangotri Highway, 45 km from Uttarkashi. Bathing in these hot tubs, along with getting rid of skin diseases, has a religious significance here as well as bathing and worshiping.
Gangnani Barkot

Gangnani Kund is located on the Yamunotri Highway, about 15 km from Barkot. Here the stream of Ganga flows out of the Kund and confluence into the Yamuna. Bathing at this confluence has great religious significance.
Gaumukh

The mouth of the Gangotri glacier is known for the origin of the Gomukh Ganga. A large number of devotees and tourists arrive every year to worship at Gomukh, located 18 km from Gangotri.
